Minor Project | Animatic Update (Part 2)

I have finished the final animatic, however, while I was looking at the final product I noticed some issues regarding the length of the climbing scene. I realized that I could save up on a lot of time by reducing or rather combining several scenes into one such as instead of him looking back on the mountain for the first time seeing the lights going on, they should go off to save some time later on in the animatic where I showed the scene where he looks back and the lights turn off. Instead of him climbing again to reach the cave, I planned on inserting the cave on the first checkpoint he will reach while tackling the mountain. Reason for those adjustment will be to make it easier for the viewer to understand and follow the storyline.

Minor Project | Orthographs Update

The orthographs for both of the characters are finished and ready for creating a 3D model. The improved and corrected animatic will be tackled as the next task.

Minor Project | Character Turnaround Update

Some colour correction took place including the lightening of the boy's skin tone, change in colorization of his scarf as well as the change of the girl's scarf colour to a light pastel yellow with white outlines and overall colour correction.

Minor Project | Character Update

I have just recently updated my character since my first attempt was rather difficult in terms of 3D modelling due to the complex cape design. Therefore, the cape has been simplified, design changed and a scarf added to give the character more authenticity and personality. With this the 3D model should become easier to create than the previous design. In addition, a simple facial expression sheet has been added which will be transitioned into the 3D model while keeping the design as close to the drawing as possible. As for the next step I will be focusing on the creation of the 3D models as well as the correction of the previous animatic to match the new ideas and characters.
