    Your research looks good so far, but please be careful when using online sources. The article from differencebetween.net isn't of what I'd consider to be academic quality and I can't find any information to verify its author's credentials. The rest of the books and article you've listed are of a good quality and level. I've made a few suggestions for furthering your research below:

    The unmanageable consumer (Library book)

    Empire of things : how we became a world of consumers, from the fifteenth century to the twenty-first

    Breaking in to the movies : film and the culture of politics Chapter 12 on Fight Club, consumerism and violence

    It would be a good idea to read up on the kind of contemporary, brand-based, globalised capitalism that Fight Club critiques. I would suggest:

    No Logo

    Postmodernism, or, the cultural logic of late capitalism Read the Introduction and chapters 1. Culture and 8. Economics

    Globalization : a very short introduction

    You should also make use of the Library's articles and book chapters search (you can find it under My Library on MyUCA). I've done a couple of example searches so you can see what's available:
